The United Kingdom Zambian Adventist Fellowship (UKZAF) was formed in 2009, in recognition of the need to bring together adventists of Zambian origin in the UK. Since then, it has grown significantly and attracts over 300 people during the days of fellowship that are held at various times of the year in different parts of the country. Recently, the UKZAF constitution was formally adopted at a special general assembly meeting on the 20th day of October 2012.
The specific objectives of the UKZAF include:
I. Fellowship and Support through
a. Days of fellowship
b. Social support for members in diaspora
c. During moments of crisis such as illness or bereavement
d. Prayer networks
e. Social events – national or regional/local
II. Evangelism locally and abroad
a. Forster the mission of the adventist church in the UK and Ireland
b. Local initiatives
c. Sponsor and/or engage in evangelism projects in Zambia
d. Member to member spiritual support (being our brothers' keepers)
III. Networking to be achieved through
a. Days of fellowship
b. Special interest groups
c. Prayer networks
IV. Development
a. Human capital – sponsor underprivileged kids in primary/secondary schools
b. Promoting excellence, especially in adventist educational institutions in Zambia.
c. Supporting infrastructure provision for churches, schools, books, computers in Zambia
d. Conducting fundraising events to support its various projects.
